Edkins lived in Flagstaff from 1961-70 when her husband, Don, was manager of the Scars Roebuck Co. outlet there. She was a member of Federated Community Church and Chapter A.T. of PEO. Christine Miller WINSLOW Christine Miller, longtime Winslow resident who once was employed at the citys historic La Posada Hotel, died April 29 in the Winslow Convalescent Center. She was 84. Visitation will be Friday, 5 to 6 p.m. in the chapel of the Winslow Funeral Home. Pastor Harold Miller and Pastor Walter Curtis, Long Beach, will conduct services 1 p.m.

Saturday in Winslows Zion Baptist Church. Burial will be in Desert View Cemetery. Mrs. Miller, a homemaker and musician, first came to Winslow in 1927. After La Posada opened in 1930, she worked as a member of the housekeeping staff.

She was a longtime member of the congregation at Zion Baptist Church and also was a member of the Heroines and Knights Lodge of the Order of the Eastern Star, Waco, Texas. She was bom April 20, 1908, in Robinsonvillc, Texas, and was preceded in death in 1971 by her husband, Robert. Survivors are her daughter, Patricia Curtis; grandsons Wendell and Walter Curtis, all Winslow; granddaughters, Jaton Curtis, Winslow, and Gwendolyn Curtis and Cheryl Benjamin, Los Angeles; and 10 great-grandchildren.
