ARIZONA DAILY SUN, Flagstaff, Arizona, Thursday, April 30, 1992-3 Public record Police Log CHILD INJURED. An Ash Fork child was brought to Flagstaff Medical Center late Wednesday for treatment of internal injuries following a car-bicycle accident in her hometown. The Arizona Department of Public Safety identified the victim as Rebecca Falls, 8, and said she was struck while riding her bicycle on an Ash Fork street by a car driven by Peter Jawrique, 26, also Ash Fork. The victim was transported to Flagstaff by ambulance, DPS said. Hospital officials said today she is in stable but guarded condition in the intensive care unit.

THEFT OF SERVICES. Flagstaff police are looking for a mystery man who apparently has defrauded a city physician. Reports identified the man as "Sean W. Callahan" and said he went to the physician on March 23, claiming he had been involved in an underwater explosion in Novia Scotia five days earlier. The physician admitted him to the hospital and he was discharged five days later, police said.

He since has disappeared and a check at the Flagstaff telephone number and address he listed showed that he never Obituaries Charlotte Edkins BOISE, Idaho Charlotte J. Edkins, former Flagstaff resident, died March 21, in Aberdeen, following a massive stroke. She was 70. Services were conducted in Boise, March 26. Mrs.

Edkins lived in Flagstaff from 1961-70 when her husband, Don, was manager of the Sears Roebuck Co. outlet there. She was a member of Federated Community Church and Chapter A.T. of PEO. She is survived by her husband, a resident of Boise; daughters, Claire Wilson, of Montana, and Carolyn Bower, Boise; and five grandchildren.

Christine Miller WINSLOW Christine Miller, longtime Winslow resident who once was employed at the city's historic La Posada Hotel, died April 29 in the Winslow Convalescent Center. She was 84. Visitation will be Friday, 5 to 6 p.m. in the chapel of the Winslow Funeral Home. Pastor Harold Miller and Pastor Walter Curtis, Long Beach, will conduct services 1 p.m.

Saturday in Winslow's Zion Baptist Church. Burial will be in Desert View Cemetery. Mrs. Miller, a homemaker and musician, first came to Winslow in 1927. After La Posada opened in 1930, she worked as a member of the housekeeping staff.

She was a longtime member of the congregation at Zion Baptist Church and also was a member of the Heroines and Knights Lodge of the Order of the Eastern Star, Waco, Texas. She was born April 20, 1908, in Robinsonville, Texas, and was preceded in death in 1971 by her husband, Robert. Survivors are her daughter, Patricia Curtis; grandsons Wendell and Walter Curtis, all Winslow; granddaughters, Jaton Curtis, Winslow, and Gwendolyn Curtis and Cheryl Benjamin, Los Angeles; and 10 -grandchildren. Police identified the man as Joe Boyd Silversmith, who was last seen by family members during an outing at the park.

Silversmith is a Native American, 5-9, 135 pounds with a pencil mustache, police said. He also has his Social Security number tattooed on his left arm, officers said. Silversmith's children told police he recently had been brought from Sanders to Flagstaff to live with the family and that he suffer from both seizures and alcoholism.
