Saturday, partly cloudy with a slight chance for thunderstorms. Highs will be in the low 80s. FORECAST FOR SEDONA AND OAK CREEK CANYON: Tonight, isolated thunderstorms, becoming fair by midnight.

Lows will be in the mid 50s in the canyon to mid 60s in Sedona. Saturday will be partly cloudy with isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid 80s in the canyon to upper 90s in Sedona. GRAND CANYON RECREATIONAL FORECAST: Tonight, a few thunderstorms otherwise fair. Lows will be in the mid 50s on the rim to upper 70s on the river.

Saturday will be partly cloudy with widely scattered afternoon thunderstorms. Highs will be in the mid 80s on the rim to 107 at the river. FORECAST FOR WINSLOW AND HOLBROOK: Tonight, partly cloudy with slight chance for thunderstorms. Lows will be in the low 60s. Saturday will be partly cloudy with a slight chance for afternoon thunderstorms and high near 90.

FORECAST FOR PAGE AND SOUTHERN LAKE POWELL: Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated evening thunderstorms, becoming fair by midnight. Lows will be in the mid 60s. Saturday will be partly cloudy with a few afternoon thunderstorms. Highs will be in the low 90s and winds light and variable except near thunderstorms. WEATHER OUTLOOK SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY: There will be widely scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms, mostly in the southeast third of the state.

5 at the Flagstaff Medical Center. She was 75. Mrs. Sandoval was born April 24, 1912, in Soham, N.M., and moved to Flagstaff in 1952. Mrs.

Sandoval was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church, the Guadalupanas and the Triangulo Club. She was instrumental with the Guadalupans in raising money for the parish center on Clay Avenue. Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church A funeral Mass will be offered at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Survivors include six sons, Delfino, Bemabe, Orlando and Ray Sandoval, all of Flagstaff, Juan, Santa Fe, N.M. and Alex Sandoval, Phoenix; five daughters, Corrine Ayala, Alice Padilla and Patsy Jackson, all of Flagstaff, Maria Almendarez, Phoenixf and Gloria Batraz, Fort Morgan, Colo. a brotherl Adelio Chavez, Albuquerque, N.M.; 56 grandchildren and 22 greatgrandchildren. Her husband, Joselino Sandoval preceded her in death in 1980. The Flagstaff Mortuary is directing the arrangements.

R. Underwood Sr. RIMROCK Richard T. Underwood Sr. died Aug.

5 at his residence. He was 80. Mr. Underwood was born March 11, 1907, in Oklahoma and was a retired truck driver for the Arizona Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Christian Church and the Odd Fellows Lodge No.

1 in Prescott for over 35 years. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Everett, Scottsdale and Margaret Schaefer, Topeka, Kan. two sons, Billy Underwood, Globe and Richard T. Underwood Flagstaff; brother, E.J.

Underwood, Oklahoma; sister Rennie Hunt, Kansas, 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The Hepler Funeral Home in Camp Verde is directing the arrangements. Thomas Hewitt PHOENIX Thomas William McCamley Hewitt, a former resident of Flagstaff, died Aug. 4 at St. Josephs Medical Center.

He was 71. Mr. Hewitt was born May 31, 1916, in Detroit, and moved to Arizona 10 years ago from California. He was a salesman for an alarm company. He worked at Northern Arizona University and in Flagstaff before moving to Phoenix.

Funeral Mass will be offered Friday at 1 p.m. at the St. Josephs Medical Center chapel. Burial will be at the Holy Cross Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Edra; daughter Diann Carpenter; a son, William; three grandchildren.

The Browns Colonial Mortuary is directing the arrangements. i Edna S. Bishopp COTTONWOOD Edna S. Bishopp, a former resident of Flagstaff, died Aug. 5 at the Marcus J.

Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was 80. Mrs. Bishopp was born Oct. 12, 1906, in Whitesboro, N.Y.

She moved to Arizona in 1945 and was a member of the Eastern Star in Flagstaff. She was a retired chief deputy recorder for Coconino County. Services were private. Survivors include her husband, Harold, of Cot- By The Associated Press Thunderstorms and showers rumbled and splashed across much of the southern half of the nation today, after heavy rains caused flooding in Mississippi. The wet weather was scattered from Montana across New Mexico and from Nevada through the central Plains into Iowa and Missouri.

Showers also reached from the Carolinas across Florida and the central Gulf of Mexico. More than 4 inches of rain fell in four hours Thursday near Hattiesburg, flooding several streets and low-lying areas. Heavy rain threatened flooding in eastern Nevadas White Pine and Lincoln counties today, and in western Utahs Millard and Beaver counties. Thunderstorm winds gusted to 60 mph at Utah, and to 65 mph at Grand Junction, Thursday night, and marble-sized hail hit parts of west-central Kansas. A tornado touched down Thursday afternoon near Pine Bluffs, Wyo.
