Wednesday, March: 19, 1947 ARIZONA DAILY SUN, Flagstaff, Ariz. Page Five State FBI Head Tells 20-30 Club Of Law Problems Kenneth Logan, head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation for Arizona, was speaker at the regular Tuesday night meeting of the Flagstaff 20-30 club, telling members some of the problems of law enforcement. Successful law enforcement depends, among other things, on the elimination of petty politicians who obstruct justice as political favors, Logan said. One of the main problems is John Q. Public himself, who, in fear of being branded a "stool pigeon," fails to report minor crimes that develop into more serious cases.

Logan said that the public should continually be on the lookout and report law violations to local authorities. "It is the duty of citizens, continued the FBI agent, to see to it that all local law enforcement agencies do their job and do it right-or else elect those who will." Logan praised the work of local law enforcement very highly. Supplementing the FBI man's address were remarks by two local men connected with law enforcement Chief of Police William Epperson, and Paul Pertuit, U. S. commissioner for this area.

Musical numbers from a trumpet trio made up of- Kenneth Pearsall, Frank Martinez and Bill Jakle, accompanied by Lorraine Bellwood, were also included on the program. The board of directors voted: contribution of $25 to the Red Cross roll call. It was announced that a group of Flagstaff members will go to Winsow Friday night for the purpose of forming a 20-30 club there. New members joining the local club Tuesday night were John Raudebaugh and Osle. Guests present were Kenneth Wilson, Albert Turner, Everett Cooley, Melvin Anderson, and Buddy Cobb.
